This month we will get into some gypsy jazz with the fun and uptempo classic, Limehouse Blues. This is a little bit different of an approach to solo technique where we forego some precision and targeting to prioritize keeping “le pomp”, or the pump front and center in our arrangement. Check this version from a quartet at a really quick clip, try and keep up! And also this ensemble video by the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Now we’ll see how much of that we can do on one uke!
