We ring in the new year with this solo arrangement of Auld Lang Syne. This is a tune we’ve all heard before and this will be one of the first times we’ll be learning two different solo approaches in one arrangement. The A section will be a more straightforward approach, weaving the melody between quarter note steady accompaniment. In the B section we’ll change the feel and accompany ourselves with fingerpicking. Check out this gorgeous arrangement from The Choral Scholars of University College Dublin. There is nothing better than a choral rendition for that ethereal and spacious feel.
