Girl From Ipanema

Tom Jobim and Norman Gimbel

This month we'll be focusing on an arrangement of the bossa nova standard, "The Girl from Ipanema" by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Norman Gimbel. This is a really fun solo arrangement that utilizes some fun and useful jazz chord shapes throughout. Check out this live version by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Frank Sinatra, and check out this ukulele version by Kris Fuchigami for some inspiration.
